In the case of strongly correlated electron systems that were studied by the DFT+U method, researchers have shown that the total energy of the system is a multi-minima function of electron-configuration parameters and one has to single out the ground state out of the couples of minimum-energy states. However, the methods already introduced to determine these local minimum states, were not able to predict all such states, which may include the "true" ground state. In this work, we introduce a new simple and straight-forward method of SMC to find the GS as well as the meta-stable states of the 1k-order anti-ferromagnetic configuration for UO2. Using this method, it is shown that the ground state of the UO2 system is a spin-symmetry broken state of the electron spin magnetizations of oxygen atoms. Depending on the way we apply the SMC method, we obtain different numbers of meta-stable states, but the same ground states. The energetic properties, geometric properties, the electronic density distributions, and the electronic polarization density distributions of the ground state and the meta-stable states are shown to be different from each other. These properties also are shown to be sensitive to the magnitude of the initial opposite magnetizations of up-spin U-atoms (U1) and down-spin U-atoms (U2) in the 1k-order anti-ferromagnetic configuration, but the number of meta-stable states as well as the ground-state properties are insensitive to this magnitude. Using the PBEsol-GGA approximation for the exchange-correlation, we obtain the ground-state properties in excellent agreement with experiments.}, keywords = {uranium dioxide,density-functional theory,anti-ferromagnetism,strongly-correlated system,meta-stable state}, title_fa = {حالت پایه با تقارن شکستۀ اسپینی برای UO2 در رهیافت DFT+U : روش SMC}, abstract_fa = {در برخی سامانه‌ها معلوم شده است که حالت پایه حالتی تقارن شکسته است که در آن یک خاصیت فیزیکی به صورت متقارن توزیع نشده است. در مورد سامانه‌های الکترونی با همبستگی قوی، که توسط روش DFT+U بررسی شده اند، محققین نشان داده اند که انرژی کل سامانه یک تابع چند کمینه‌ای از آرایش الکترونی است و لازم است که حالت پایه را بین آنها تشخیص دهیم. اما روش‌هایی که تا کنون برای یافتن چنین کمینه‌هایی مورد استفاده واقع شده، قادر نیستند که تمامی این حالت‌ها را پیش‌بینی کنند و لذا امکان دارد حالت پایۀ واقعی تعیین نشود. در این تحقیق ما یک روش ساده و سرراست SMC را ارائه می دهیم که توسط آن حالت پایه و حالت‌های شبه پایدار UO2 پاد فرومغناطیس با نظم k 1 تعیین می شود. با استفاده از این روش نشان داده می‌شود که حالت پایۀ سامانۀ UO2  یک حالتی با تقارن شکستۀ اسپینی از مغناطش اسپینی اتم‌های اکسیژن است. بسته به این که روش SMC را چگونه پیاده سازی می‌کنیم، تعداد حالت‌های شبه پایدار متغیر است ولی حالت پایۀ یکسانی حاصل می‌شود. نشان داده شده است که خواص مربوط به انرژی، خواص هندسی، توزیع چگالی الکترونی، توزیع چگالی قطبش الکترونی حالت پایه و حالت‌های شبه پایدار نسبت به هم تفاوت دارند. همچنین نشان داده شده است که این خواص نسبت به اندازۀ مغناطش اسپینی اولیۀ اتم‌های U  در آرایش پاد فرومغناطیس با نظم k 1 حساس هستند ولی تعداد حالت‌های شبه پایدار و خواص حالت پایه نسبت به آن بی تفاوت هستند. با استفاده از تقریب PBEsol-GGA برای تابعی تبادلی- همبستگی، حالت پایه توافق بسیار خوبی را با تجربه نشان می دهد.}, keywords_fa = {دی اکسید اورانیوم,نظریۀ تابعی چگالی,پاد فرومغناطیس,سامانۀ همبستۀ قوی,حالت شبه پایدار}, url = {https://ijpr.iut.ac.ir/article_3302.html}, eprint = {https://ijpr.iut.ac.ir/article_3302_a3c14ba5f4afa5fd987b43589cba0170.pdf} }
